Clare Thomas is a contemporary artist living and working in Victoria, BC. Her work is about home and belonging, family history and our relationship to our environments.

She uses a range of materials including repurposed clothing, images from magazines, paint, ink, found paper and cardboard, wax and thread to create fabric collages, embroideries, figurative and abstract drawings and paintings.

Clare is a founder member of BOXCARSIX artist collective, and co-founded Draw by Drawing, a weekly community drawing workshop. She is a graduate of the Independent Studio Program at Vancouver Island School of Art and has an MA in Art and Environment from Falmouth University, UK.
