Berg

A series of textile pieces made in the UK and Berlin.

These pieces are a response to a lifetime of moving. Since I no longer know quite where I belong, perhaps I can take my home with me? Using discarded clothing found on the streets, I cut and hand stitched shapes together to form portable tents, shields and containers I can carry with me, as well as maps of new territories that are uniquely mine. Combining material evidence from present homes, and ideas culled from memories of the past, they are keys to my own personal land.
